M O R E F O O L I S H N E S SOne of the more interesting things I have learned since I started training as a fire performer is how many people think that there is a trick to fire eating. The only Trick to fire eating is getting people to understand that there is no trick at all. Why Fire eating/breathing is a STUNT, NOT a trick The distinction between in not as subtle as it would seem. A Trick is something you do that makes your audience believe one thing is happening while another thing is acutally happening. A stunt is something, that is exactly what it appears and that with practice, can be done safely. When I do teach new students and those who join my motivational seminars, one of the first things I work with them on, is disuading them of the concept that any fire performance involves a trick. I tell them, "Successful being successful with fire is much like being successful in life, the key is knowing as many of the risks as possible and being prepared to cope with them. |
